Last year this time I couldn't shut up about Twilight. Maybe you thought I'm not into it anymore. Some of you know the truth. *wink, wink*
And maybe, just maybe, my best friend flew out from Georgia,

along with another good friend from Illinois, meeting up with myself and 3 local friends... to see the midnight opening of New Moon. And maybe, just maybe we stayed in a hotel together three nights, having the time of our lives.
So have you noticed anything different about me? Ladies and Gents, the rumors are true. I'm batting for the other team now. (Team Jacob, that is) A bit ironic for someone who used to skip all the parts about him every time I re-read the Twilight series.
The minute we walked in the hotel room, I promptly pulled out my large Jacob poster and attached it to the hotel wall.

Apparently the other girls had to do something about that and there ended up being about 14 posters put up that night. (including a huge Robert Pattinson poster that was placed above the bed I was sharing that kept mysteriously falling off) *looks away innocently*

We went to Cheesecake Factory before the movie. Our waiter actually offered to hold all our Pocket Friends for a picture. What a sport!

And then THIS happened:

Yeah I'm not too sure what that's about. Thankfully those two crazy kids weren't driving!
After the movie, around 3:30am, we were driving back to our hotel in Hollywood. Now my friend Sandi sometimes gets distracted while driving and partially veers out of the lane. Ok, Often. We apparently attracted the attention of police who pulled us over. They were expecting a typical DUI, so when they walked up to the car, on either side, they shined their flashlights into the back at us. I bet they were kinda surprised to see an SUV full of soccer moms.
Sandi explained to the kind officer that she was sleep deprived, visiting from out of town and didn't know the roads here very well. To which he responded, "I'm pretty sure anywhere in America you're only supposed to stay in one lane." (then he chuckled) THEN he gave Sandi a sobriety test. The rest of us in the car were such good friends of hers, that we all got on our phones and #livetweeted the event. "LMAO we just got pulled over by the Po Po & they're giving Sandi a sobriety test!" Yeah, we're GOOD, supportive friends. And really, it was funny because we knew Sandi was sober. (and she of course passed the test) Meanwhile, our friend Barb was in the front passenger seat. She told the officer on her side of the car that we were coming back from a movie. He says, "Did you just see New Moon?". Barb said yes and asked if he had read the books. He said, "Nah, I'd rather just see the movies." Gotta love the LAPD!
Of course as I mentioned before, one night we went bowling

and met Dennis Quaid.

The next morning Laura, Sandi and I got tattoos. Because that's what you do when good friends come to town. Or maybe that's just what I do.
Wanna see mine? (like you have a choice)
It's from the book trilogy "The Mortal Instruments". And if you haven't read it yet, why the heck not? It's better than Twilight! (yes I said that)

It's a rune meaning "fearless/fear not". He made it look like purple stone.

Even Pocket Jake got tattooed. Yeah, that's right. Pocket Edward had to stay home.

What, you wanted my review of New Moon? Psshaw, this post is too long already. Check back Monday!

ROTFL Julie!
Yes, I wondered why you were so quiet, but figured you were *ahem* busy/obsessed ;)
Can't wait to see the Movie...I'm practicing restraint, cuz my BOSS is taking the us next Tuesday!
Oh...shoot, now that I've said that, I'll have to sign anonymously.
I am laughing so hard and tryin NOT to wake my kids too early. This is SO funny. I was amazed by my Jake obsession after this one too. I love that you ladies had a run in with the po po..... ha ! Thanks for sharing your fun. My hubby sweetly changed my computer's wallpaper to Jake and Edward and I can hardly concentrate!!
I absolutely LOVE your enthusiasm for Twilight! LOL! I actually just went and bought the first movie on DVD because Amazon is having a TDF sale on it. ;)
I must red about the Mortal Instruments now. How exciting! :D

I'm getting really stressed out-- I'm too far for intervention and it seems that you're deep the "dog" doo now!!
I won't give up though. How could I when you introduced me to Mortal Instruments and making me aware there ARE purple Kitchen Aide appliances?
